State of Grace: Reviews & Ratings
Went there for a business dinner. may be moderate noise. Quite enough to carry sensitive conversations. Drinks are fantastic.. vegetarian choices limited. I went for ravioli which was alright. Very attentive service and polite staff in general. Decor and atmosphere is upscale and suitable for high level business dinners.
What an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, everything was top-notch. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it perfect for a relaxing meal. A special thank you to Jorge Cruz, General Manager, who clearly runs a fantastic operation and made us feel truly welcome. His attention to detail and commitment to great service really show. Also, shoutout to Jonathan, our server, who was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit.
The name says it all. The service and the attentiveness was great. The oysters are on happy hour every day from opening to close. ( only select 4) but those are worth it. They have a pretty extensive bottle service, but kinda pricey. Ask for some recommendations. We came early for brunch and wasn't disappointed. Try the bread service with caviar if they have it. We had to wait for it, but also worth it.
Our first visit to State of Grace was an absolute delight. I stopped in for lunch with my fiancée and every dish impressed us, from the fresh oysters to the rich crab beignets. The lobster roll and gumbo were full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Everything felt special and satisfying. We are already looking forward to coming back to try the dinner menu.
Nice spot for a quiet dinner and fresh seafood. Would’ve been 5 stars based on taste but my fish had pin bones and for $51 a plate you should be taking the pin bones out. Just saying. But everything else was nice and they even gave out delicious molasses cookies on the way out. Recommended for cocktails and vibes, very cozy ‘90s style fine dining with a causal touch.
We celebrated my wife's birthday August 19,2025. The hostess was absolutely amazing. She seated us at an amazing table that provided us with a full view of the dining room we were seated in. Our server Cassaundra was very attentive. She explained the wine list, menu and offered us an excellent suggestion on our oyster selection. The blackened Red Fish was to die for. I highly recommend them with 5 Stars in every category.
My fiancée and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner, our server/waiter were awesome! Everything about our dinner experience was amazing, until we were standing by the front door so we could get a couple of sandwich cookies, as we stood waiting, a hostess came over and told us “if no one is in the front desk, and you want a cookie to use a napkin because that’s what they’re there for “. I was appalled that someone would assume we aren’t aware of the proper etiquette when it comes to using a “napkin “!
While in Houston for my daughter's graduation we ate at several different restaurants. State of Grace was my absolute favorite. The fillet was one of the best I've ever eaten. The service was next level and thank you to Trinity and Elizabeth for taking such good care of my family. Your attitudes and attention to detail were amazing and made our visit amazing. Elizabeth, you were right I needed the spoon the Texas Ball was incredible. I can't say enough how pleased we were to pick State of Grace to eat at out of all the great restaurants in Houston.
